Speaker Krishna Mahara calls for development and promotion of Bhume

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Speaker of Parliament, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, said that Bhume Village Municipality, which is a part of culturally significant guerrilla trekking route, should be developed into a national and international tourist destination. In the release program of the "Bhume Reflection and Documentary" published by Bhume Village Municipality, Speaker Mahara said that the government must stand on the new political change and focus on economic and social transformation of the people.
Mahara also said that tourism is the way for the economic prosperity of Rukum. He added that Lawang and Chunwangsthal of Bhume have historical significance. The government has started connecting Rukum, Rolpa, Myagdi, and Baglung regions through the development of guerrilla trekking routes.
Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, said that guerrilla trekking routes have been included in the multi-year planning for tourism development and promotion in the country.
