SriLankan Airlines to operate 7 days a week from Colombo to Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, June 23: Less than a year after the start of regular flights from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Kathmandu, SriLankan Airlines has significantly increased the number of flights.

Zenith Travel has informed that the number of flights will increase as the demand for passengers increases.

The airline, which has been operating four flights a week so far, will operate one flight daily from July 6.

According to Deepak Mainali, manager of Zenith Travel, there will be daily flights from July 6. Airlines, which used to make two to four flights a week, will now operate daily flights. Despite the crisis in the domestic economy, the airlines are doing good business in Kathmandu destinations.

"As the demand for passengers has increased, the airlines have decided to increase the number of flights. There will be one flight daily from July 6, ”he told.

SriLankan Airlines has indicated that it will expand its flights to Colombo as it has added flights to other countries.

There is more demand for passengers going to third countries than going to Sri Lanka from here. Occupancy is better than coming from here, 'said Mainali.. Airlines that have been providing services to passengers going to third countries from Nepal have got good occupancy, said Mainali.
