SYANGJA, Jan 12 : Canyoning is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rappelling), and/or swimming.
Canyoning is considered an adventurous game so the survey for the possibilities of Canyoning has increased in neighboring places of Pokhara.
Aiming to promote tourism and attract domestic tourists towards adventure sports, Nepal Canyoning Association started research for possibilities of canoeing.
“The survey of Canyoning association explored possibilities of canyoning in Khalte Jharana (falls) of Syangja, we have started training for that too,” Rajesh lama, Treasurer and Instructor of Nepal canoeing Association informed. “Association has now started canyoning training to 8 locals,” lama said.
The Khalte Jharna which has high possibilities has the height of 60 meters. Canyoning started in Lwang ghalel of Kaski before three years in which Nepal Canyoning Association provided the technical support.
