TAAN divides seven inner departments

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: The Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) has formed seven departments to coordinate dutieson January 24. The seven departments include Nepal Promotion and Exhibition, Secretariat Management, Destination Research and Promotion, Trekking Trail Monitoring and Maintenance, Media and Communication, Printing and Publication, and Project Department.
The coordinator of Nepal Promotion and Exhibition department is Jeevan Lama, with Joint Coordinator as Deepak Raj Adhikari, and members Gopal Shrestha, Suk Bahadur Lama, Mahesh Kumar Budha, Harka Gurung, Basudev Thapaliya.
The Secretariat Management department is coordinated by Ang Pemba Sherpa, with Joint Coordinator Sujan Lamichhane and members Rajan Prasad Kapri, Gopal Shrestha, Ritu Gyamdan, Sona Sherpa, Dolma Tsering Sherpa.
Similarly, the Destination Research and Promotion department consists of Coordinator Suk Bahadur Lama, Joint Coordinator Chandra Gurung, and members Baburam Gurung, Dolma Sherpa, Bhuwan Tiwari, Jeevan Thapaliya.
The Trekking Trail Monitoring & Maintenance department consists of Coordinator Baburam Gurung, Joint Coordinator Purna Kumar Sherpa, and members Mahabir Gurung, Mingmar Sherpa, Suk Bahadur Lama, Mahesh Kumar Budha, Chin Bahadur Thapa Magar.
The Media Communication department is headed by Gopal Shrestha, with Joint Coordinator Chandra Gurung and members Baburam Gurung, Dolma Sherpa, Bhuwan Tiwari, Jeevan Thapaliya.
The Printing and Publication department is being lead by Coordinator Surya Bahadur Bhetwal with Joint Coordinator Sujan Lamichhane and members Rajan Prashad Kapri, Gopal Shrestha, Ritu Gyamdan, Sona Sherpa, Dolma Tsering Sherpa.
The Project department is coordinated by Jeeban Thapa Magar, with Joint Coordinator Ramkrishna Timalsina and members Ritu Gyamdan, Chandra Gurung, Jeevan Lama, Rajan Kapri, Mahesh Kumar Budha.
TAAN resident Nava Raj Dahal congratulated and welcomed the new members of the department and wished them successful term in office, quoting all departments as being equally important for the development and tourism of Nepali tourism.
