TAAN draws attention for the increase in fees for tourist

KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal has drawn their attention for the increase in entrance fee of Makalu Barun National Park.

Makalu Barun National Park has been charging 3000 rupees for each person for entrance and 2000 rupees is being charged per night for camping. 1500 rupees is charged for Nepali guide to enter the park.

TAAN has showed their concern over the increasing fee of the entrance charge without any prior information. This type of action is affecting the tourism of country also they have urged the government to take action for such case and to stop the increasing price of entrance fee.

They have also drawn attention for forcefully blocking the Teams counter and charging 2000 rupees per person by the Village development committee of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu region. TAAN also expressed that tourism entrepreneurs will protest if these type of activities are not stopped.
