TAAN Pokhara conducts training program on business management

KATHMANDU, Mar 25: The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association, Pokhara organized a two-day training program on Business Management, Training for Trekking Entrepreneurs, on the occasion of its Silver Jubilee on March 23 and 24.
The program was conducted with special facilitation of PUM Netherlands, and collaboration from Nepal Tourism Board. It was attended chiefly by trekking agency operators.
“There is a great need for the management of tourism market in a more organized manner, with the management of trekking companies," said the Chairman of the TAAN Western Regional Association, Deepak Raj Adhikari in the formal program before the commencement of training.
As an instructor, business consultant and expert Ans William conducted the training on business management and marketing.
"This kind of training is a great opportunity for the promotion of Nepali tourism," said Secretary Sushil Raj Poudel, of the Western Regional Association of TAAN.
"There was already a similar agreement between PUM Netherlands and TAAN Pokhara. The training was conducted according to the agreement. "This type of program will be organized in the coming days," said Tiwari, the organizer, in the formal closure of the program.
