TAAN Pokhara organizes day hike

POKHARA, Jan 23: The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Association Pokhara has successfully conducted a day hike program in the Harihar cave situated in Kaski with the aim of promoting yoga tourism and religious tourism on Friday.
A one week long trekking route was discovered recently in Kufuche lake which is famous as the mountain lake situated in the lowest topographic point in the world. TAAN has also developed this short route in Harihar cave for tourists who prefers a day hike or a short distance trek.
The director of TAAN Western Regional Association, Mr. Deepak Raj Adhikari informed that the new hiking route is being developed for the tourists who are short of time and its aim is to help the tourists explore the hills around Pokhara in a short time.
Harihar cave, situated in Pokhra-Lekhnath Municipality-20 came into existence in 1906 B.S when Junga Bahadur Rana started to worship God Harihar there. It is an hour's distance from Pokhara.
Mr. Adhikari also informed that the cave can be an attractive tourism destination for religious tourists; he further said there is peace around the cave so there is more possibility of yoga tourism to flourish in the Harihar area as such tourists are gaining more importance nowadays.
