TAAN signs MOU with VITOF to promote tourism in rural areas

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Umbrella association of the Travel and Tours Operators in Nepal, Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Village Tourism Promotion Forum (VITOF) Nepal to promote tourism in rural areas.
Amid a special function in capital Kathmandu on Wednesday signed the MOU for the development and promotion of “At least three village tourism destinations in the fiscal years 2073/ 2074 to 2074/2075”.
The MOU has the provisions for the development of villages in the tourism destinations which have unique features as pesticides free in agro products used for the tourists and must promote the local and unique products.
Both the organizations will extract funds for the projects as per the need of the project and the TAAN will supervise the project activities and effectiveness and the VITOF will be the implementing partner, as per the MOU signed.
The MOU was signed by Chandra Prasad Rijal, President of TAAN and Karna Bahadur Lama General Secretary on behalf of TAAN and Ram Prasad Sapkota “Kamal”, President of VITOF- Nepal and Basu Dev Pandey, General Secretary on behalf of VITOF- Nepal.
