Tanahu developing homestay at two villages

KATHMANDU, May 07: Bhimad Municipality of Tanahu has decided to develop two villages, Raghu and Miurchulun, into homestay on its 23rd meeting held at Bhimad Municipality-2, Raghu. Chief of the Bhimad Municipality, Mekh Bahadur Thapa, said that to promote tourism in the rural areas we should participate in tourism services, increase the income of the rural community and increase the living standards.
A manifesto has been published in the form of a policy to encourage, conduct and promote the identity and specialty of the cultural of the villages. The municipality is trying to conduct homestay by maintaining the community's dignity in preserving and supporting religious, historical, cultural, linguistic heritage. Municipal Chief Thapa said that 19 policies will be implemented to ensure that the two villages will be the best for homestay.
For further facilities, accessible toilets, clean drinking water and transportation are going to be maintained. Further study of the possibility of tourism and building and expanding parks, infrastructures at the appropriate place around homestay is also included in the manifesto.
Campaign will be carried out by promoting social change with the aim of promoting civil values and culture , on the basis of simple lifestyle and method.
