Tansen Municipality aims to be 5th top destination for domestic tourism

PALPA, July 22: Tansen Municipality has taken the goal of developing itself as the 5th major tourism destination for domestic tourists within the next four years. Chief of Tansen Municipality, Ashok Kumar Shahi, has informed that the aim is to bring in investment worth Rs. 5 billion as a whole for the education, sports, entertainment, health, and religious sector-based development of tourism.
Plans for the infrastructure development in the new budget include construction of the Kaligandaki Corridor from Korala border towards China to Nawalpur, to connect the Cherlung-Tansen sector to the Siddhartha Highway, and to construct a Tansen-Sunauli dedicated fast track.  Shahi also informed that the country's largest Ganesh temple will be established in Tansen-10, Gufachaur, and a program to manage the Ridi Ranighat unified water source.
The municipality will give priority for the conservation and promotion on the promotion of its own resources and tourism destinations including the Ratanpade, Sadhanasthal, Lipindevi, Bhagavati Temple, Amarnarayan Temple, etc. A total of Rs. 891.3 million has been allocated for the budget of economic year 2075/76 by the municipality.
