Tarigaun Airport to be operated before Dashain

KATHMANDU, Sep 17: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari has announced to operate Tarigaun Airport before the arrival of festival season Dashain in an event organized in Sub metropolitan of Tulsipur, Dang.
A direct flight from Dang- Kathmandu will be conducted whereas flight from Kathmandu- Bhairahawa- Dang will be operated as alternative route. He also expressed his sorrow over the failure of previous plans to operate the airport.
Also technical team led by Adhikari visited the airport. The runway of airport is only 750 m long. Though the airport was operated since 2011 due to various factors the flights were unable be operated on regular basis.
Speaking on the following occasion, Ghanshyam Pandey Chief of the sub metropolitan emphasized on the construction of the airport as it plays vital role in developing Dang.
