KATHMANDU, Mar 20: The Tourist Bus Association of Nepal (TBAN) has demanded to build tourist bus park around Thamel area.
On Sunday, the meeting of the Home Ministry decided to move Bus Park from Kantipath. Following this decision, TBAN issued a statement on Monday and demanded to construct a bus park around Thamel.
Secretary General of TBAN, Krishna Acharya said that the tourist bus park should be shifted near Thamel area. "The decision of the Ministry of Home Affairs has been taken seriously as the government is working to bring 1.5 million tourists," said General Secretary Acharya.
According to TBAN, if the tourist bus park is shifted far away from Thamel it will be very difficult to develop tourist areas. Till now, the bus park which consists of 100 buses starts from 7 am and is conducts routes from Kantipath to Pokhara, Sauraha, and Lumbini.
