Team from RIKKYO University in Japan visits Kathmandu for tourism study

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: A team from RIKKYO University from Tokyo, Japan, has visited Kathmandu for a field visit for potential tourism study. The university has shown interest in Nepal's tourism market and in aiding in promotion of Nepali tourism in Japan.
The team included Dr. Ryo Nishikawa, Assistant Professor, College of Tourism of RIKKYO University, Tokyo, Japan along with few of his student of tourism stream. The group met with CEO of Nepal tourism Board, Deepak Raj Joshi, and his senior management team to discuss the promotion of Nepali tourism in Japan through RIKKYO University and its student outreach program.
The program was coordinated by Sumire Tours and Travels and is expected to help in promoting Nepali tourism and in meeting the target of attracting 70 thousand Japanese tourists during Visit Nepal 2020.
NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi welcomed feedback from the Japanese visitors during the dialogue after their visit to different heritage sites and tourist attractions of Kathmandu including Boudha, Pashupati, Patan, Swyambhu, Basantapur and Bhaktapur.
