The Himalayan Peace Association to construct Buddhist Stupa in Jumla

JUMLA, Nov 02: The Himalayan Peace Association is going to construct Buddhist Stupa in Jumla of Karnali state. Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister, Rabindra Adhikari inaugurated the Buddhist Stupa. In the inauguration program, Minister Adhikari said that the initial phrase of Karnali state is just like the beginning phrase of the tourist arrival in Mustang.
“Previously, there used to be no place for tourists to stay in Mustang and there is the similar problem in Karnali state now so we should try to remove this problem”, he added. He also expressed his believe that within 7 years the number of tourist in Karnali state will reach to 1 million. Around 4 million rupees is being invested to construct the Buddhist Stupa.
Minister Adhikari also requested the locals to provide their support as government alone can’t handle everything. We should also focus to develop the region and increase the stay of the tourists up to 3 days.
