Third Himalayan Travel Mart to be held on June 7-9, 2019

KATHMANDU, June 8: The 3rd Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM) has been scheduled to be held next year from June 7-9, 2019.

Addressing the Closing Ceremony of 2nd Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM2018) held during the evening of 3rd June at Park Village hotel, Mr. Krishna Prasad Devkota (the Chairman of Himalayan Travel Mart - Main Organizing Committee and Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation) emphasized on the need of Marts like HTM to promote Nepal's tourism sector and he announced the date for the next edition of the Mart.

 

Ms. Nandani Lahe Thapa, Sr. Director of Nepal Tourism Board highlighted on the overall conclusion of the event and extended gratitude to all the supportive individuals and associations. On the same occasion, the Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter, Mr. Sunil Sakya thanked everyone for accepting and embracing the spirit of PATA by connecting with hospitality people from different backgrounds and extending the unconditional support in making the 2nd Himalayan Travel Mart a grand success! He further emphasized on the necessity for concretizing the envisaged Himalayan Travel Mart.

The nation’s one and only international travel trade show, the Himalayan Travel Mart has become a unique and popular B2B event facilitating an unparalleled platform for networking, promotion, shared knowledge and valuable insights, business opportunities amongst the participants and stakeholders. The mart has successfully concluded its first two editions with the participation of 225 foreign delegates from 53 different countries and 170+ foreign delegates from 36 countries in the year 2017 and 2018 respectively.  

PATA Nepal Chapter had conceptualized this B2B Mart with an aim to facilitate the business and networking opportunities between Himalayan Sellers (from India, Nepal, China (Tibet Autonomous Region), Pakistan, Bhutan and Myanmar and Global Buyers (from Europe, North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and CIS countries, Asia and the Middle East). However, the Mart is being more popular with the interest from so many source markets willing to join the event.
