Third Tour guide summit commences in Nepal

KATHMANDU, August 24: The third summit of Tourist Guide Association of Nepal has ended in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu issuing four point manifestos. The summit was inaugurated by Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Jitendra Narayan Dev in CW Restaurant in` Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
Thw manifesto presented by the President of Tourist Guide Association of Nepal, Nagendra Chand claimed the new manifesto will work for the overall development of the Tourist Guides in Nepal.
It includes the commitment and demands to make the tourist guide profession a respectful and diligent profession through the active initiation of the government, increment in the salary of the tourist guides as per the time, Strict implementation of the tourist guide license checking to prevent infiltration and expand the branches of Tourist Guide Association of Nepal in all the tourist destinations.
Addressing the program Tourism Minister Dev warned the tourism entrepreneurs and guide that the Lok Man Singh character is prevalent in the sector and appealed for end to it.
He also disclosed that he has brought various programs targeting the sector during his tenure and claimed he has prioritized the construction of Pokhara International Airport and Nijgadh International Airport of Bara.
