KATHMANDU, Apr 12: Tribhuvan International Airport is adding various material facilities to give better service to its passengers. The airport has added 1,000 seats in the passenger waiting area at the entry to the international terminal.

TIA spokesperson Prem Nath Thakur said that the additions were made on basis of tender made one year ago. “We have added 1,000 seats in the waiting room for passengers who have passed through the last security check. Passengers will not have to stand in the hall while waiting for their international flights,” said Thakur, “the additions are of international standard and durable quality.”

The hall previously had only 200 seats. With the new additions, the number of seats in the waiting hall has reached 1,200.

“We have brought some of the older seats to the arrivals waiting area. We plan to take some of them to the internal terminal,” said Thakur.
