Tourism Minister Umashankar Argariya indicates opening of domestic flights

KATHMANDU, June 10: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Umashankar Argariya has indicated opening of domestic flights. Giving a brief response to the media after the monitoring of Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday, Minister Argariya said that the decision to open domestic flights would be taken gradually within the rules of the World Health Organization.
Minister Argariya said that the security of luggage would also be closely monitored. He said that guidelines have been made for the cleanliness of the airport and the attendance and work of the staff will be monitored. He said that the shortcomings at Tribhuvan Airport would be rectified.
Stating that the condition of Tribhuvan Airport has improved than before, he said that it will move ahead by correcting some shortcomings.
