Tourism Minister urges EU's President to remove Nepal's name from blacklist

KATHMANDU, Sep 19: Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari has started initiatives to remove the name of Nepal from black listing of European Union (EU). Due to the blacklisting Nepal has not been able to fly in European country that's why Minister has forwarded discussions with the concerned authorities.

As he International Civil Aviation Organization (IACO) has already given the award to Nepal by removing from black list in a bilateral meeting. In a meeting organized in Friday,Minister Adhikari has requested the Austrian Ambassador and President of EU, Helichostero to be serious in this issue.

The Minister said to the Austrian ambassadors that the ships being operated in Nepal are bought from Europe and at the same time those flights are not being able to fly in Europe.He suggested to see the improvement in the airways sector and urged to remove the blacklist within this year.

Similarly, Nepal has requested Austrian Ambassador to encourage their citizens to travel Nepal in year 2020.

Austrian Ambassador has also showed positive response to promote Nepal among Austrians. He has also proposed to conduct straight flight from Kathmandu to Austria.
