Tourism season changes from October to March after devastating quake

CHITWAN, August 08: Before the earthquake of 2015 the tourist destination of Nepal, Chitwan use to witness surge in number of tourists during the month of October. But after the earthquake the trend has changed which is seen in two consecutive years with the rise in number of tourists during March.

In the year of 2014/15 the number of tourists flow to Chitwan National Park in the month of October stood at 25 Thousand 7 Hundred and 81. Likewise, in the same year during the month of March a total of 21 Thousand 4 Hundred and 86 tourists visited Chitwan National Park.

The earthquake of the 2015 resulted in the hefty downfall in the number of tourists. In the year of 2015 a total of 8 Thousand 7 Hundred and 53 people toured Chitwan National Park which attracted tourists during the month of March.

In 2015/16 the number of tourists visiting Chitwan National Park rose to 12 Thousand 1 Hundred and 47. This trend continued last year too. Last year in the month of October a total of 15 Thousand 8 Hundred and 6 tourists toured Chitwan National Park. But this number rose to 17 Thousand 4 Hundred and 51 in the month of March.
