“Trust Bridge” over Langtang River facilitates tourists and passers by

RASUWA, Dec 06 : A trust bridge has been constructed over the Langtang river of Rasuwa district of Nepal, the esteemed tourist destination of the country.

Though there existed a wooden bridge over the river a person slipped off the bridge and lost life which prompted the voice for construction of a bridge over the river to ensure the safety. Now with the construction of the trust bridge over the river the movement of tourists and the locals of Langtang has eased.
The Samartian Purse, an Non-Governmental Organization took the initiative to construct the metal arc bridge over the river which has the length of 27 meters and 2 meters breadth in four months time with cost estimate of Four million rupees.
“With the construction of the bridge over the river it will ease our transport at the time of rainy season. At the time of rainfall the old way is hard to access and this will definitely help,” Dindup Tamang of Gosainkunda Village Municipality-4 said.
The Langtang area which saw setback after the earthquake also is rising back. “In recent days the number of tourists arriving the area stands in between 50 to One Hundred and 50,” Subba Lama said.
