TURGAN submits memorandum to DG of Tourism Department

KATHMANDU, Feb 08: Tourist Guide Association of Nepal (TURGAN) have submitted a memorandum to the Director General of Tourism Department, Mr. Dinesh Bhattari requesting to stop the illegal guides from the operation.
A team headed by the President of TURGAN, Mr. Kedar Tamang, submitted a memorandum to Bhattarai on Thursday.
The memorandum has proposed to stop the work of illegal guiding by assigning tourism police on the issue. It states that proper flow of information about Nepal is essential for standard tourism promotion. TURGAN President Tamang said that unnecessary messages were being spread about Nepal abroad due to illegal guides and he trying to drive government’s attention to the risk of wrong messages being spread about the resources of Nepal and Nepal itself worldwide.
