KATHMANDU, May 04: Turkish Airlines is bringing the 6th edition of its Amateur Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup to Kathmandu on May 12. Golf Cup is an international contest that will feature more than 8,000 players in more than 100 tournaments across the globe before the finals take place in Antalya.

Turkish Airlines had established the World Golf Cup in 2013 as part of its continuing efforts to supporting sporting events around the world. Abdullah Tuncer Kececi from the Kathmandu Turkish Airlines local office, said "Turkish Airlines is committed to supporting and working with sport organizations bringing people together from all over the world. The Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup is something we are very proud of and it continues to grow and improve year on year. We are excited about our latest event in Kathmandu and proud of the impact it has on the local amateur golf scene."

Bringing the international golf tournament in Kathmandu allows Nepali golfers to connect to the international golfing community and have a chance to compete with the professionals in the scene in a world class arena as the competition moves on to different locations around the globe.
