Two new aircrafts within few months: Minister Shahi

CHITWAN: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, has said that the government and private sector should move ahead together to attract more tourists by developing tourism infrastructure.


Inaugurating the 13th Chitwan Elephant Festival at Sauraha on Monday, Minister Shahi said two new aircrafts for the Nepal Airlines Corporation would be brought within few months, saying   problems to attract tourists to Nepal was a result of its failure to buy any new aircraft for 28 years.

Similarly, former Finance Minister, Surendra Pandey, said that tourists stay could be extended if tourism infrastructure of Chitwan is developed.

The festival organised at the initiative of Regional Hotel Association will run till January 2 where different competition including Elephant Fast Walk, Elephant decoration, Elephant Polo, Elephant picnic will be organised.
