UNDP Assistant Secretary General Wignaraja inspects foot and cycle tails constructed at Chandragiri

KATHMANDU, June 10: UNDP Assistant Secretary General Kanni Wignaraja, UNDP Resident Representative for Nepal  Ayshanie Medagangoda-Labé, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative for Nepal Bernardo Coco  also inspected the foot and cycle trails constructed at Chandragiri in Kathmandu under the STLRP project.

Welcoming the UNDP team at the event, Mayor of Chandragiri Municipality Ghanshyam Giri said that the additional work done by the STLRP project through the Tourism Board has developed a new tourism product in the region as Chandragiri is an important tourist destination in itself.

Assistant Secretary General Kanni Wignaraja also praised the work done by the municipality in sustainable tourism development.

On the occasion, the chief executive officer of Nepal Tourism Board, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, Director Mani Raj Lamichhane, Secretary of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Yuvika Bhandari, Chairperson of Chandragiri Riders Club Vishnubhakta Mahajan, Cyclist Sunita Bhandari and others shared their views and experiences on the STLRP project.
