HANOI, July 21: Vietnam's national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines said on Saturday that it would adjust departure and landing times of its flights to and from China's eastern city of Shanghai on Sunday due to Typhoon Ampil.
The affected flights are those between Vietnam's Hanoi capital and Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai.
Ampil, the 10th typhoon this year, is expected to make landfall Sunday morning in China's eastern coast.
Heavy rain and flash floods triggered by Typhoon Son Tinh killed 10 local people and left 11 others missing in Vietnam's central and northern regions, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control said on Saturday.
