Visitors low at Khaptad National Park

KATHMANDU, Mar 07: Very few number of tourists have visited Khaptad National Park this year. In the current economic year, only 29 foreign tourists have visited Khaptad National Park till now, said assistant warden, Prakash Bahadur Shah. More domestic tourists than foreign tourists tend to visit the Park.

The national park is mostly visited by domestic tourists from Bajura, Achham, Doti, and Bajhang. In the 7 months of the current economic year, the national park has collected more than 200 thousand rupees in revenue. The park allows free entry to domestic tourists, and charges Rs. 3,390 in entry fees to foreign tourists.

The Khaptad National Park is home to various tourism locations of religious as well as historical significance, besides hosting various flora and fauna. It holds attractions including Triveni Dham, Nagdhunga, the Khaptad Swami Ashram, etc.
