Water Logging shuts Biratnagar Airport

BIRATNAGAR, August 12: Water logging and flood after the incessant rainfall in the low lying Southern Plains of Nepal has thrown the life there out of gear. The Biratnagar Airport in Nepal’s one of the biggest business hub of Nepal Biratnagar is out of operation since two days because of the water logging and flood.

The flights to and fro Biratnagar Airport is obstructed because of the water logging inside and outside the airport. The locals and the passengers who were supposed to have their flights are not able to cross the floods and get into the airport.

The photos circulating over the social media platform claimed to be of the Biratnagar Airport shows the lone Shree Airlines aircraft parked on the runway which landed there a day before.
