West Thamel Tourism Council honors landlords and dignitaries for their support

KATHMANDU, July 31: An honor program was organized by West Thamel Tourism Council at the Nepal Cottage Resort at Paknajol on Friday. During the program they honored the landlords who helped to save the tourism business in the western Thamel region by giving rent discounts and the dignitaries who fulfilled their social responsibility by supporting the council in this pandemic.
During the program, Chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan Ward No. 16 Mr. Mukund Rijal said, " West Thamel Tourism Council has done excellent works for the development of west Thamel region since its establishment. Especially during the lockdown, they have played a great role in feeding those who were in trouble." He also said that with various initiations, now we can see the development in the west Thamel region. " Also, During this difficult situation, there should be mutual understanding between landlords and the tenants so that both the parties wont have to face any trouble," he added.
Former President of Thamel Tourism Development Council (TTDC) Ram Saran Thapaliya said, "West Thamel Tourism Council has fulfilled its social responsibility in a very effective way during the time of lockdown by helping those who are in need. I would like to request all the landlords to consider the problems of their tenants and help them in every possible ways. "
Also, Secretary of WTTC, Ashik Amatya said, "We have taken the responsibility of making west Thamel region as proper tourist area by providing a safe environment to tourists and facilitate them. Currently, we are focused on saving the tourism business during this difficult time."
Landlord Amol Pradhan, Hridaya Hari Shrestha, Madhu Kafle, Nirmal K.C, Sushma Adhikari, Gyanu Ratna Tuladhar, Lok Bahadur Shrestha, Chandra Bir Singh Kansakar and Minu Shakya were honored during the program. Similarly, Metropolitan Police Beat Lainchaur, Metropolitan Traffic Police Beat, Sorakhuttee, Ram Saran Thapaliya, Smart Cell, Family and Friends Project, Lockdown Lunches, Tato Khana Sewa, Ram Chandra Sharma, Rotary Club of Bhadragaun, Lion's Club of Nepal Tourism, Bawarchi Restaurant Group, Rajan Thapa, Cheryl Hickey, Road Cross Biryani Kabab Restaurant, Kancha Gurung, Barun Meheta, Juneli Nepal, Menz Foundation, Ramesh Prasai, Nepal Inside Our Treks and Tours and Tejendra Poudel were honored for helping in relief material distribution and other services.
