Workshop Targeting Drive Tourism and Tourism Safety to be organized

KATHMANDU, Nov 30: A major workshop on international transport and tourism will be held in Kathmandu, targeting Visit Nepal 2020. The workshop is going to be jointly organized by the Chinese Highway and Transport Society and the Nepal Automobiles Association.
Ashish Gajurel, General Secretary and program Coordinator of Nepal Automobiles Association, informed that more than a dozen worksheets will be presented in the program including investment potential in drive tourism, BRI & tourism, tourism safety and cross border connectivity.
"More than a dozen worksheets on tourism and transportation will be presented at the conference," he said, adding that expertise of more than a dozen countries will be involved in the conference.
Gajurel informed that the participation of representatives from various organizations including China, India, United States, Bangladesh, and experts from tourism sector, experts from the Central Government and the State Government of Nepal, MPs, road and transport experts.
During the workshop, the special presentation of the Secretariat of Visit Nepal Year as well as the tourism bodies of the seven state governments, will also be directly attend the conference. This workshop is intended to focus on Drive Tourism and Tourism Safety with special priority.
Secretary General Gajurel said that this workshop was an important opportunity to promote Visit Nepal Year. The workshop is scheduled to be inaugurated by former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
