Yeti Airlines announces package for various destinations at a cheaper rate

KATHMANDU, Sep 22: Yeti Airlines has announced a special package for various tourism destinations at a cheaper rate. On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the company's establishment, they have unveiled a package on Monday.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Anoj Rimal, said that these packages would help to revive the aviation and tourism sector, which have been standstill for 6 months. "Now, the airlines will not only connect the passengers to their destination, but they will also take them to travel around the destination. That's why we have brought the package at an attractive price," he said.

The spokesperson of the Yeti airlines, Sudarshan Bartaula, said that they have started to sell the packages for the promotion of domestic tourism. The packages will be valid from October 2020. At present, the package is targeted at Pokhara, Everest Trail, Muktinath, Ghandruk, Chitwan, and Rara. Meanwhile, packages with two-way tickets have been prepared for Nepalgunj, Bharatpur, Janakpur, Bhairahawa, Bhadrapur, and Tumlingtar.

Hikmat Singh Ayer, a senior officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, also asked to include destinations like Pathibhara in the east and Khaptad in the west, in the package.

Chairman of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), Khum Bahadur Subedi, said that such a package would provide relief to the tourism business. Also, Chairman of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Achyut Guragain, said that the packages brought by the airlines by giving priority to domestic tourism would help in creating an environment for people to travel around the country.

The airlines have introduced a package of Everest trail at the rate of 13,999 per person. This package includes 4 nights- 5 days stay, and a minimum of 10 passengers is required. Similarly, the package of Rara is for 2 nights- 3 days at the cost of 24,999. For this, a minimum of 5 passengers is required. 

2 night- 3 days package is announced for Pokhara at the cost ranging from 5,999 -7,999 per person and for Chitwan at the cost ranging from 12999-16999 per person. 3 nights- 4 days package of Muktinath Darsan costs 12,999 per person and a minimum of 6 people is required for this. Also, 4 nights-5 days package of Muktinath Darshan costs 16,999 per person, and a minimum of 7 passengers is required for this.

Likewise, the Annapurna Foothills Trail Ghandruk package costs  11,999 per person. The package is for 5 nights- 6 days, and a minimum of 6 passengers required for this. At last, 4 nights- 5 days package for Annapurna Luxury Ghandruk Trail costs 19,999 per person, and a minimum of 8 passengers required.

Meanwhile, customers of Yeti airlines can now buy tickets from their mobile phones. The company has launched a mobile app for the same purpose.
