Yeti Airlines obtains license for international charter flights

KATHMANDU, Sep 14: Private Airline company, Yeti Airlines has obtained a license for international charter flights. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation have permitted for Yeti Airlines to operate charter flights a few days ago.
The Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN) has stated that it has started the process to provide the service permission to the company after obtaining the license. The company has received a license from the ministry for international charter flights.
Anoj Rimal, Chief Executive Officer of the company said that the company will operate chartered flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport as soon as the airport becomes operational. "Gautam Buddha Airport is coming into operation soon. We have planned to start charter flights from this airport, ”said Rimal.
He said that the service would be provided as per the demand of the passengers, along with the promotion of religious tourism through charter flights. He informed that there is a plan to operate international charter flights keeping in mind the Buddhist tourists coming through India. According to him, the company will use a 72-seat ATR-72 for the flight.
