KATHMANDU, August 30: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati has said that the budget of the Nepal Tourism Board will not be passed until it is corrected and improved.

Speaking at the launch program of the 'Tourist Bus Nepal' app organized by the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal  (TBAN) in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Minister Kirati said that the budget of the Tourism Board cannot be passed in a hurry until it is clear and made transparent.

Stating that it is the responsibility of the Department of Tourism to build physical structures for the development of the tourism sector, Minister Kirati said that the duty of the board is to oversee the promotion activities of the country’s tourism.

Minister Kirati said that the era of five to 10 percent commission has come to an end by allocating the budget for physical structures through the board's budget. He said that as long as he is in the ministry, he will end corruption within the ministry and its subordinate bodies
