Nepali Ultra Runner Rashila Tamang Secures Asia Trail Master 2023 Title in Indonesia

KATHMANDU, Dec 05:Nepal's Rashila Tamang emerged victorious in the Asia Trail Master (ATM) 2023 championship held in Indonesia. The women's category, covering a distance of 77 km, saw Rashila complete the race in an impressive 12 hours, 25 minutes, and 52 seconds. This achievement marks her as the first Nepali runner to clinch the title.

Belgium's Vanja Kanops secured the second position, finishing the race in 12 hours, 32 minutes, and 16 seconds, while Angeli Caballo from the Philippines claimed the third spot with a completion time of 14 hours, 3 minutes, and 37 seconds.

Rashila's success extends beyond this recent triumph, as she secured second place in the North Face Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2023, held just last month. Her consistent participation in international ultra races has led to podium finishes, including a first-place victory in the Geoji Mountain Crossing Competition in China, as well as notable achievements in the University

Championship in Nepal, Godavari Running Festival, Himalayan Outdoors, 42 km Everest

Marathon, and UTMR in Switzerland.
