Global IME Bank conducted financial literacy program  via 41 additional branches

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank has conducted a financial literacy program through 41 more branch offices as part of its corporate social responsibility.

On Thursday, the bank revealed in a press statement that it had identified and implemented a program for several financially disadvantaged target groups.

According to the bank, more than 5,000 people have been educated about savings, credit, remittance, digital banking, insurance, investment, extra banking services, financial fraud, and financial discipline through the program, which was held in 41 different sites across the country.

The bank operates in Damak, Biratnagar, Malangwa, Doramba Shailung, Manthali, Galchi, Kalika, Gosainkund, Waling, Gaindakot, Kawasoti, Binayi-Tribeni, Besisahar, Bhanu, Banganga, Dangisharan, Rapti, Malika, Musikot, Chandrakot, Ramgram, Purvkhola, Devdah. It is stated that the program was held in Sandhikhark, Dilasaini, Amargadhi, and other locations.

Along with this, the bank has encouraged over nine thousand target groups from 76 branch offices to conduct banking transactions by offering various awareness and financial security information.

This fiscal year, the bank plans to offer participation activities for these target populations through its more than 350 branches.

The bank operates about 1,100 service centers, which include 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 65 extension and revenue collection counters, and three international representative offices.
