Agreement between Global IME Bank and HUB International Education to provide educational loans

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank and Hub International Education have signed a memorandum of agreement to facilitate the delivery of educational loans to Indian students seeking higher education.

The memorandum of collaboration was signed by Suman Pokharel, the bank's deputy CEO, and Uddhav Bahadur Khadka, the founder and chairman of Hub International Education.

According to the MoU, the bank would provide educational loans to students selected by Hub International study to help them meet their financial commitments for further study in Indian universities.

According to the bank, this loan will be issued swiftly, simply, and readily when Hub International-recommended students and parents submit an application to the bank's branch office together with the appropriate paperwork and details.

Global IME Bank is the country's first private-sector commercial bank, with 77 branches nationwide.


The bank operates over 1,100 service centers, which include 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 67 extension and revenue collection counters, and three international representative offices.

The bank has made substantial contributions to the country's economy by receiving remittances from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, Hong Kong, and other nations.
