Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank hands over Laxman Babu Shrestha scholarship

KATHMANDU:Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank celebrates its 30th anniversary by awarding the late Laxman Babu Shrestha Memorial Scholarship to Santosh Kumar Mandal, a Class Ten student at Shree Nandi Secondary School in Naxal, Kathmandu.

Rajesh Babu shestha, son of late Laxman Babu Shrestha and director of Manakamana Darshan, presented the student with the scholarship established in memory of the bank's founder and chairman, Laxman Babu Shrestha.

According to the bank, a Rs.50,000 scholarship has been awarded to children who succeed academically but come from low-income families.

Speaking at the event, Rajesh Babu Shrestha stated that there are chances in Nepal and that the country's workforce should remain in the country and contribute to its development.

In addition, the bank's CEO stated that the bank will change scholarship programs and provide additional academic support in the coming days.

The bank has stated that it will enhance its corporate social responsibility operations in the coming days. 

Furthermore, the bank is dedicated to provide higher-quality financial services while taking into account its customers' banking needs, aspirations, and expectations.
